The Kindergarten curriculum at Iqraa American School is thoughtfully designed to build strong academic foundations while nurturing the whole child. • Scientific Inquiry – Exploration, observation, questioning, and hands-on investigation through thematic units (e.g., All About Me, Weather and Seasons, Forces and Motion, Plants, Animals, and Habitats)

• Physical Development – Gross and fine motor skills, coordination, healthy habits, and active play

• Social & Emotional Growth – Self-regulation, collaboration, leadership, and positive peer interactions

• Cultural & Religious Identity – Arabic language development and Islamic studies that strengthen students’ connection to their heritage and values

Teaching Methodologies & Distinctive Practices

Our approach blends structured instruction with active learning. Teachers use explicit modeling, guided practice, differentiated small groups, and formative assessment to ensure that every child progresses confidently. Our learning centers, inquiry-based explorations, technology-based tasks, and collaborative activities also allow students to apply their knowledge in meaningful ways.

Most importantly, we prioritize language development across all subjects, ensuring our English language learners have ample opportunities to strengthen academic vocabulary and communication skills.
