High School Curriculum
IQRAA High School
At this level of education our focus is getting students to leverage critical thinking skills, set goals for themselves and build a strong social consciousness regarding their place in the world. High standards and quality work along with accountability and responsibility make up the core of the high school program. Students lead their learning and their results are a reflection of their efforts.
Educational Framework
Various opportunities are provided to students through project based learning, flipped classrooms, presenting the material and extension opportunities outside of class. Building student agency is the main purpose of the high school program where students take ownership of their learning. Leveraging the talents and strengths of students helps them realize their power to research, investigate and solve inquiry related problems. Building future ready students who understand the world and its challenges is key to our mission. Teaching students the responsible use of technology and how new innovations help shape society is something we want students to not only understand but be part of through their journeys.
Cultivating Life Long Learners
The purpose of the high school program is to establish a core set of values that sustain life-long learning. Developing a strong work ethic in students helps build agency for them to achieve their goals. Focusing on entrepreneurship, social responsibility and student government are some ways that teach students to be active citizens in the world they live in. Extension opportunities such as model united nations, partnering with the Kuwait Ministry of Youth where students represent their country in regional forums and field trips to places such as university medical departments helps students with the ability to see themselves and their futures.
